Accommodation Information

The official WCN 2007 Accommodation Agency, Blumar Tourism has reserved hotel rooms in several hotels with specially discounted rates.

There are hotels located in Barra da Tijuca (the nearest neighborhood to RIOCENTRO), Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Flamengo and the City Center. RIOCENTRO conference and exhibition center can be easily reached by taxi or by the official Congress Shuttle Bus Service operated by the WCN 2007.

Booking conditions

Payment

To make your reservation, the total pre-payment will be requested.

1. By credit card – Blumar accepts all major credit cards. You will be asked for your credit card details upon making your reservation.
   
2. By bank transfer – Blumar will inform you of the transfer account details once you have made your reservation.

Your reservation will be confirmed once Blumar has received confirmation of your deposit payment. Bank transfers will be accepted until February 26, 2007. Currency exchange charges or bank collection fees are covered by the participants.

Changes to Bookings

All requests and changes to hotel accommodation should be sent in writing (fax or e-mail) to Blumar directly rather than contacting the actual hotels. A handling fee of US$ 40.00 per hotel room will be charged for every hotel modification received after February 21, 2007.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be sent to Blumar in writing (fax or e-mail), please include participant’s name and clearly mark all correspondence as “WCN 2007”.

For cancellations received before February 21, 2007 payment will be refunded minus a standard fee of US$ 40.00 for administrative costs.

For cancellations received after February 21, 2007 Blumar reserves the right to charge the amount of the full stay if the hotel room cannot be reallocated.

Group Reservations

Group reservations will be handled through separate contracts. Please contact Blumar for further information.

Checking In and Out

Hotel check in time will be specified on your documentation. Check out time is 12:00. Early check-ins and late check-outs will be permitted upon payment of one extra day’s rate.
